Disobamafication . . .
If I could sprinkle fairy dust on the US government & transform it to my liking, what would it look like? Every time I ask that question, my wish list gets longer:
Abortion: Let voters determine the law state by state. Stop fed funding to Planned Parenthood. No FOCA; med workers should not be required to perform abortions.
Accountability: Pass a ‘pay for pay for play’ law...

A guy was interviewing for a government job.
Interviewer: Got any allergies?
Guy: Yeah, caffeine.
Interviewer: Military service?
Guy: Yeah. Served in Iraq and had my balls blown off.
Interviewer: Okay, start tomorrow at ten a.m.
Guy: Why ten?
Interviewer: It’s a government job. We spend the first two hours drinking coffee and scratching our balls.

I wouldn’t want to drive CNN out of business, as long as there are still ideological alternatives in business, but I would like to stop seeing it as the ‘station of record’ in public places, such as waiting rooms, restaurants and airports. One never sees Fox in such venues (at least not in Illinois).

The Politics of Obama Flu
The liberal statist looks at the swine flu pandemic:
(1) It’s a problem that can be ‘solved’ by big government action, and provides an excuse for a power grab as the feds ‘put new safeguards in place’;
(2) Solving the problem requires international cooperation between governments, and ‘internationalism is cool’;
(3) It reinforces the notion of people...

April 24 - Michael Savage interviewed UK climate expert Sir Christopher Monckton. A Congressional committee had invited Monckton to take part in a panel discussion, part of its cap & trade hearings, but committee chairman Sen. Monckton’s findings summarized in the linked report from Science and...

Congressman Michelle Bachman calls for NHS Sec Janet Napoleonitano, a.k.a. Bruno, to resign, unless she can justify the document her agency recently published calling for law enforcement to recognize any American who disagrees with Obama administration policies as a potential terrorist.
UPDATE: NHS ‘withdrew’ the doc about three weeks later, but I still don’t trust them/it.

PHOTOS FROM CHICAGO TEA PARTY - 4/15/09
Thousands of citizens of all ages and ethnicities turned out on April 15 in Chicago’s Federal Building Plaza, home of the busy & influential 9th District Circuit as well as other fed entities, to protest high taxes and big, bad government. I’ve deleted many of the photos I took but here are some of the slogans:
‘Give me liberty, not debt.’
‘Downsize government...
